Leaning into military retirement, I had the honor of turning over command of Navy Reserve Center Newport to CDR Jesse-LaRou Walsh on Friday, June 28th. Special thanks to:
- OceanPointe Christian Church for gracefully providing the ceremony venue
- Mr. Brady Gerdts (OceanPointe's Worship Team Director) for a stunning rendition of the National Anthem
- Mr. Don Estes for graciously providing the invocation and benediction
- Newport Mayor Xaykham Khamsyvoravong for his honored presence
- CAPT Tonrey Ford for presiding over the ceremony
- CDR Yosef Perfido for his amazing and flattering remarks
- CDR(sel) Erick Bonang for serving as the Master of Ceremonies
- CMDCS Eric Fitzpatrick for his contagious ebullience and leadership
- NC1 Kristi Abrahamsen for serving as my ceremony coordinator/event planner
- The Naval War College Color Guard
- Navy Band Northeast
- My amazing crew and teammates who I'm sad to leave behind, and finally...
- My wonderful friends and family who attended and supported me

I am sad to leave, but wow, what a way to go out. Here's to the next chapter.....stay tuned for more information in a few weeks.
