Food is the most universal art form—one that truly connects us all. While some may prefer impressionism on canvas or modernism in architecture, everyone can appreciate the creativity and passion that goes into a beautifully prepared meal. Culinary arts transcend boundaries, nourishing both body and soul.
That’s why I’m so inspired by the next generation of culinary talent. Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the grand opening of Rogers High School’s new culinary arts food truck and mobile learning lab, “Seaside Bites,” in Newport, Rhode Island. Not only did I enjoy an outstanding lobster roll and hush puppies, but I also witnessed firsthand the excitement and dedication of students who are turning their passion into a promising career.
Congratulations to the Rogers Culinary team for starting the next chapter of this innovative program! You’re empowering students with real-world skills in a region where culinary excellence is in high demand. Here’s to the future executive chefs, restaurateurs, and hospitality leaders—your journey is just beginning, and the industry is better for it.
Well done, Rogers Culinary! 👏🍴
